Why?
Because
you have the power and ability to change and shape its life, and the
quality there of.
However
reality often tends to step in….
I
remember quite a few years ago (Roughly 25) when I was relatively new to
the Equine industry. The insecurity and inferiority complex that can
develop when surrounded by knowledgeable horse people.
Facing
the screaming swearing instructors / overbearing stable owners / busy
stable mangers / or other “more knowledgeable” horse owners, and being
too afraid to ask questions for fear of ridicule.
Walking
into a tack shop where the person assisting you is using horsy Jargon,
(acquired by training or by listening to clients) and pointing you to the
next best gadget for your horse (note the price tag) and then making you
feel like an idiot when you decide not to buy it.
Reading
countless books on horses, many with great value, but unless you know how
to apply it, they are of little applicable content for a horse owner,
often making you wiser but not necessarily more knowledgeable.
Most
sites on the web only serve as shopping portholes, but how would you know
what products to choose, if you’re not even sure of their application. I
have seen many a horse owner “taken for a ride” when informed to
purchase said products for their horse, only to find out later that they
or their horse has no need for them.
The
aim of A Horse Lovers Haven is to provide the information to you as a
horse lover and horse owner, so that you can make informed decisions
regarding your horse’s health and well-being.
Care
and consideration is taken with all the content on this site, to ensure
it’s application is for the better of the horse, and that you as the
owner will feel empowered by having done the right thing.
The
goal of this site is to make the information applicable throughout the
world. Most of the information on launch was applicable to each and every
horse owner. However if you live in the frozen parts of Alaska, the hidden
outback of Australia, or the desert plains of the Sahara, and you have
information that may only be applicable to your area (like diseases or
stable methods) and feel that it would inform other horse owners, please
